 Toronto Blue Jays will celebrate their 50th season with a gold-trimmed trip to the past in 2026.Blue Jays unveiled a commemorative 50th season logo, which will appear on the right sleeve of their home, road, and alternate jerseys.

It's a callback to commemorative season logos of the past for the Jays, who are going with a style similar to what they used when celebrating their 10th season in 1986 and their 20th in 1996. A "50" in the club's original split-style numbers, with the "0" replaced by something resembling the Blue Jays' first logo, presented in the 1977-2003 Jays' colour scheme of blue, turquoise, and red. A gold outline, to symbolize their 50th season, is added to the outside of the logo.

Toronto joins the Chicago Cubs (150) and Seattle Mariners (50) as clubs that have announced an anniversary jersey patch for the upcoming season. The Blue Jays will welcome the Athletics for their season opener on March 27, and it looks like they'll be getting a little gold on their uniforms afterall, despite that slightly-too-short-of-a-lead-off of third.
